Once the San Diego Trust and Savings Bank, the Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown hotel is located in the city's historic Gaslamp Quarter. Designed in 1927 in an Italian Romanesque architectural style and built in 1928 by William Templeton Johnson, the building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The marble in the Grand Lobby was quarried from all over the world.
