Only 3 miles (5 kilometers) from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Alpine Village Resort is approximately an hour northeast of Asheville. Guests enjoy a tranquil ambiance and the spectacular mountain views of the surrounding Pisgah National Forest, at an elevation of 3,250 feet (990 meters). On-site are amenities including a 24-hour clubhouse, shuffleboard court, fire pit, and a seasonal heated swimming pool open between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Nearby are parks with hiking, biking, and horseback-riding trails, Mount Mitchell Golf Club, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Grassy Creek Golf Course, wineries, gem mining, and quaint mountain towns
